Sandagsüren Tsend was born in Hatanbulag sum of Dornogobi aimag as the fourth child of his family in 1934. His childhood was spent at the side of his parents, and he started herding after graduating primary school. He joined a collective in 1958 when they started in Hatanbulag sum. He worked at the collective as a brigade leader, accountant, deputy director of the collective, and head of the construction group and retired after working as a head of the public service unit, starting in 1996. Sandagsüren talked about the collectivization movement and cultural campaigns, which were the main historical events in his life. He went with a caravan to Ereen Tsav, which is about 1000 km away before the collectives were established in Dornogobi aimag. He mentioned that he carried livestock to exchange of food and food products. They used camel carts in their caravan and he saw a car only after collective was established. Sandagsüren brought up 11 children together with his wife. It was less difficult to raise children in that time due to the proper policy of the state.
