Summary of Interview 081219B with Orosoo
Orosoo said that studying in the Polytechnic just after completing the 7th grade had an important impact on his future work and life. In addition, the military sector he worked in for his entire life taught him the ways and reasons of how to live.
He received the “North Star” award from Tsedenbal in the winter of 1974 because he participated in harvesting in that year and the brigade he managed worked very well. “This was the greatest award he received during his lifetime as well as one of most pleasant moments of his life” he said.
Orosoo linked the crisis that arose after the appearance of democratic society to the condition in the socialist period in which everyone was given everything so that they did not need to make any effort of their own. School and work were available, everything was regulated from above, but one day people’s life became dependent on their own initiative, then they lost their hold. Society collapse totally, and an army of drunkards was formed eventually. These all crises were connected directly to implementation of the change without any preparation.
